Disability Insurance
|
|

If you were suddenly injured and
couldn't work, how would your bills and other financial
obligations be paid? Individual disability insurance is
truly a basic concept. It is an insurance product designed
to replace anywhere from 45-60% of your gross income on a
tax-free basis should a sickness or illness prevent you from
earning an income in your occupation. The pay out provided
may be stated as a percentage of income or as a set dollar
amount. Every disability insurance policy from every
insurance company is very different, this is not a product
to simply shop for the most competitive rate. To buy the
cheapest disability insurance policy on the market is to
throw money away. The odds of getting paid a monthly benefit
under a cheap contract may be significantly lower than
receiving benefits from a quality contract. We will work to
find the best plan suited for you and your needs. |
Health Insurance
|

Health insurance premiums are determined by the
health
insurance company and regulated by every state.
You will not find a lower premium for any of the insurance
plans quoted on our website. No one can offer a lower
premium. These premiums would be the same if you were to
purchase your medical insurance directly from the insurance
company. There is no additional fee for our services.
At this time we only have relationships
with Blue
Cross Blue Shield of TN and
Assurant Health
aka John Alden Insurance. |
Supplemental Insurance
|
|

If you’re like most Americans, your
primary health insurance doesn’t cover everything.
Whether you make co-pays for prescriptions, pay
out-of-pocket for vision and dental expenses, pay for
services not covered by Medicare or your insurance plan, it
can quickly add up. Supplemental health insurance is
designed to help defray these kinds of expenses that aren’t
usually covered by major medical insurance plans. A
variety of supplemental health insurance plans are available
so that you can customize your healthcare coverage and
bridge the gaps between your actual medical bills and the
amount your insurance covers.
Why you
might need supplemental coverage
Not everyone needs supplemental
insurance. If you’re a healthy individual whose
primary health insurance plan covers all or most
health-related bills and who already has disability
coverage, you may not benefit from buying supplemental
insurance.
On the other hand, if your primary
insurance requires you to pay high yearly deductibles, make
expensive co-pays, or places low caps on the amount it
covers for certain services and products, you should
consider supplemental health insurance.
Types of
Supplemental Insurance
Below are some of the major kinds of
supplemental policies:
-
Supplemental Health Plan (included benefits for
hospitalization, doctors visits, surgeries and more)
-
Supplemental Cancer Insurance (included benefits for
surgery, hospitalization, radiation, chemotherapy
preventative care and much more)
-
Accident
Indemnity Insurance (pays medical expenses and living
costs when you get hurt unexpectedly)
-
Disability
Insurance (pays benefits for time lost from work due to
illness or injury)
-
Heart/Stroke Insurance (pays benefits for treatment
needed as result of having a heart attack or stroke)

Perhaps one of the greatest financial
challenges you will face in your lifetime is preparing
adequately for your retirement. Can you afford to retire?
How will you fund your retirement? What unexpected events
may occur before and during your retirement that can derail
your plans for the future?
You will need about 60 to 80% of your
pre-retirement net income to ensure the type of retirement
you want. Social Security, 401(k) and pension plans will
definitely play a big role, but you may need more income
than they provide. Take heart in the fact that there are
several solutions you may want to consider as you plan for
your retirement.
Retirement Solutions includes
information on the retirement planning process, an IRA
overview, life insurance, variable annuities and how they
may fit in your retirement plan. Visit our Network Services,
Investment Services section and our Investment Products
section for investment strategies and products that you may
choose to include in your retirement plan. |

What kind of dreams do you have for your
children? Is a college education one of them? Like all
dreams well conceived, your financial security will make it
easier for you to help them when the time comes.
Planning for a child or grandchild's
education isn't as simple as it used to be. Today's options
offer more potential, but must be chosen carefully.
Depending on family income and other factors, it's important
to make these decisions as early in the child's life as
possible.
The best way to help meet these costs is
to create a college funding strategy and choose the option
that best suits your family. Remember the need to insure
your ability to help pay your child's college expenses. Your
ability to provide financial support is important. Should
you die, life insurance can help replace the loss of your
income and fulfill your dream for your children's future.
We can assist you in making those
decisions whether to establish a UGMA account, 529 plan,
Prepaid College plan and others. |
